Sonic Stadium Message Board - Setup For forums, see lower on the page
Sonic Stadium Message Board (SSMB) is a Network site on the TSS servers which host our forums and Gallery. In order to get involved with posting your own artwork and to chat to other SSN artists and Sonic fans around the community in general, follow these simple instructions.

Go to the SSMB website, located
here, and click on Register link just underneath the title banner as shown above. Sometimes at roughly midnight GMT you may have trouble registering due to automatic server backups and sometimes if there are too many people online at once the server will limit people's access to the site, so its not suggested to register at that time of day.

The page will load with the SSMB rules and conditions of use. Be sure to read these thoroughly, as the SSMB is dedicated to upholding them, and breaking of these rules is not tolerated. If you agree with the rules set, then click the "I agree" tickbox and then click "Register".

Several boxes will appear on the screen, these will be your sign in details. You can select whatever sign in name you wish as a log in username, and then have the choice of changing your name (Twice every 30 days max) by choosing a different Display Name. Note that every time you sign in you must sign in using your SIGN IN name, not your display name (For easiness sake it may be best to begin by having both of these as the same name). Bear in mind that currently the words Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Blur and several other names and also symbols and numbers are not allowed in your username.
Then put in your password twice (They must be identical) the same as your email address. You'll also be asked to use the name of a Sonic character as your backup passcode which we can use to resend you your account should you give out the password to someone or lose your account by mistake.
At the bottom of the page is an image with distorted numbers and letter inside it. Type the numbers and letters into the nearby white box, remembering that it is capital letter sensitive, and then click on "Register My Account". If you find it difficult to see the numbers and letters on the image, simply click on the image and it will swap it for another one.

You will be sent a registration email to the address you provided, simply go to your email, find the new mail (Will be sent with SSMB as the sender address, check your spam folder if you can't find it) and a little way down the letter will be a link with activation directions as shown above. Simply click on the link and your account will be activated once the page loads.

Now the message board will allow you to sign in and start posting. Put in your sign in username and your password, and then enjoy posting in one of the biggest Sonic communities in the world. Remember to adhere to the rules, and if you ever feel that you need help, contact a Staffer (Or if it's an issue with a Staffer, contact the head administrator Roarey Raccoon).
Sonic Stadium Message Board - SSN Forums

Set up by Roareye Black, the SSN forums originally focussed on spriting seperately from all other artforms, and continued to be one of the most popular and most spam-free and organised art forums of its day and since. Coming out of an era where art forums were mostly unregulated and full of mess and random topics, Roareye saw fit to put and enforce strong rules on posting and layout as well as content which included an instant Strike/Ban policy on art theft.
In September 2007, Roareye recreated Sonic Spriters Network into Sonic Showcase Network and eventually took over the struggling Creative Portal art forum, merging spriting back into the main art scene and hiring Violet Moonie as a Staffer to help with both the site and forum.
There are five forums for SSN, and they're described below.
SSN Main Forum
This Forum is where you will find discussion topics for artwork. If you wish to ask an art related question (But not an artwork request, those aren't allowed on the forums and are handled via Private Messaging) or discuss different theories or practices of artwork, here is where you would do it. It also allows for some more light hearted and fun topics, as long as they're not too spammy. If you've created a Role Play topic (See below) then you can use this forum to make a single discussion topic for your Role Play topic/series.
ArtWatch Subforum
If you follow ArtWatch then you can find the most recent News and ArtWatch posts on the main site itself. However the ArtWatch subforum allows you to make your own critique and feedback to the artists that we feature as well as archiving ArtWatch features from when we first began (Including SpriteWatches from 2004!).
Visual Showcase (Gallery)
The Gallery is set up so members of the SSMB (and in turn the TSS Network including SSN) can post their artwork (Digital, Traditional, Pixel, Spriting and other still image media) for others to actively critique and view with ease.
Media Showcase (Audio/Visual) Forum
A subforum set up for all the artwork that the current Gallery cannot store. This is mostly media art such as movies, games and music among others. This allows artists of these art forms a space to showcase their art and recieve feedback. While not as established as the Gallery (Which in itself is under maintenance still) the topc based showcases still work and provide valuable critique.
Textual Showcase Forum
While the Gallery CAN cope with text based artwork (Except Role Playing), in practice the design of the Gallery at this current time makes it very awkward to read. Because of this the Textual Showcase was set up, which allows for poetry, fiction, non-fiction and role playing. The subtitle of each new topic should state the type of art it is to prevent confusion and the rules are set up to llow for as much fun as possible but without losing the strong artistic focus of the SSN.
