DefChamba - FTP Access/Downloading
TSS used to host a, now seperate, large FTP database site called FastFeet Media. Fastfeet Media specialised in general SEGA movies and music, as well as other large downloadable files. When FFM moved off of the TSS Network, they were generous enough to allow us the Sonic part of their FTP media (They obviously have a copy as well) and the DefChamba FTP was born. It's extremely simply to access and use too...
Then go to the DefChamba website, located
here(Be aware that http:// is replaced by ftp://). The layout of the FTP is very basic, because the main amount of bandwidth wants to go towards sending you the files as fast as possible. You will have several options in front of you, browse through the folders at your leisure until you find a file you want.
When you find a file you want (This is in the Music and Soundtracks directory) and you want to save it, right click the name and select "Save Link As". You will then be prompted by your computer for a location to save the file and to type in a filename (There will be default filename given). From here it's up to you to add it to your music library as you please.
Lastly, it is possible to simply view the media files directly from the FTP itself, as long as your web browser has the right plugins (If you don't have the right software/plugins, modern browsers automatically find the download you need and prompt you to install it by themselves). All you do is select the file with the left mouse button and the file will stream to your computer. Do note that streamed files may suffer buffering issues if the FTP is being accessed alot (Buffering is where your computer can't download enough of the file due to server/ISP strain and pauses to catch up).
DefChamba - SSN Downloads
Defchamba provides SSN with it's Sonic soundtrack MP3s, which are linked to in our downloads section to allow you to more accurately replicate the music alongside the Sonic music tablature (guitar or otherwise). This is just another example of how well set up the TSS Network is, and provides us with a way of making the Network feel truly like a well fitting family unit.
